Diptych Press is a home for conversations about international literature.

We're a Boston-based indie publisher of both translated and English-language literary fiction and nonfiction, dedicated to illuminating the connections between storytellers from around the world. Our model is a little different: we always publish two books at once, matching seemingly unrelated texts in thoughtfully curated pairs to encourage dialogue between writers whose words have something to say to each other, no matter how far apart their literary and linguistic traditions. Our pairings are made up of two individual books that stand brilliantly on their own but that create something entirely new when allowed to lean on one another. 

We also organize accessible events that help explore the throughlines between the stories we publish. Our goal is to create a space where translators, writers, and readers can exchange ideas about languages and literatures the world over.
